Upgrade of existing control system to Siemens S7-300 PLC and TP1500 COMFORT for an Offshore Facility - Nigeria - 15/08/2018

CSI AUTOMATION is upgrading for an international oil company a full project of design, supply, install and commmission of a new control system for an offshore facility in Nigeria.

The existing system is relay based (around 256 I/Os)
Following activities have been successfully achieved :
- Detailed engineering (cabinet drawing, functional analysis, standard functions specifications)
- PLC programming
- HMI programming
- Internal testing
- Factory Acceptance Test (in Nigeria with the client)

Our solution

Our solutions is based on a S7-300 PLC communicating with a 15" TP1500 COMFORT Panel (Siemens) through PROFINET Network.

Detailed engineering has been achieved in 1 month including PLC and HMI programming (TIA Portal V14).


The panel has been integrated in Dubai and delivered to Port Harcourt (in Nigeria)

Engineering and programming services have been executed from Cameroon whereas the FAT has been conducted in Port Harcourt (Nigeria).

After a successfull FAT (Factory Acceptance Test), our team is getting ready for the commissioning Offshore.

The client is satisfied and we are currently discussing about similar projects for other facilities.
